This Saturday we have a special event for you!
NOV 10th @ Hollow Earth Radio 8PM / All-ages / $7 suggested donation
"Don’t expect Daniel Higgs to rehash drone-rock band Lungfish’s glory days at this late date. The vocalist/guitarist/mouth harpist has gone off on an odder tangent since his legendary Dischord Records group went on hiatus in 2005. Now Higgs makes genuine freak folk—Sandy Bull as imagined by Flannery O’Connor on absinthe—that’s a conduit to spirit worlds of unfathomable beauty. Higgs’s rock past sometimes resurfaces, but it’s filtered into a gnarled backwoods surrealism that could scare the bejeezus out of Will Oldham. " - Dave Segal, the Stranger
This is in regards to Daniel's show at Cairo on FRIDAY. He's also playing Hollow Earth Radio on SATURDAY!

Audio Leter - Experimental improv anarchist band from early 80's Seattle
Posted By DJ Garrett on 06/28/2011 at 11:34PM
Recently I was searching through youtube for more information about Paul Hoskin; just this past weekend he played a live show at the Hollow Earth Radio studio w/ Greg Powers on trombone & tuba and I was looking for videos of previous things he had done (btw, their set was fantastic - when Paul pulled out his reedy contra bass clarinet it made such wonderful bass sound, rattling the walls like there was a truck outside idling).
Anyway, in my search I found these videos of Paul's old band Audio Leter (also consisting of Hollow Earth Radio volunteer Sue Ann Harkey). I don't know much about the group other than that it was an experimental improvised anarchist band from the early 80's.
Thought I would post these short clips - and don't worry, I'm already working on the Audio Leter reunion.
